TOKYO, July 28, 2014—Casio Computer Co., Ltd., announced today that it has established a new sales company, Casio Marketing Thailand Co., Ltd., in Bangkok, Thailand. The new company will begin sales and marketing activities on September 1, 2014.

Casio has been increasing the number of its sales sites in ASEAN, in order to increase sales in this huge market of 600 million people. After commencing sales and marketing operations at its Singapore sales company in 2001, Casio began sales and marketing operations at a representative office in Indonesia in 2011, followed by a sales company in Malaysia in 2014. In Thailand, where the new sales company has been established, Casio has been promoting its products through distributors since the 1970s. G-SHOCK and other Casio watches have gained much popularity there, and sales have grown steadily in recent years.

Casio Marketing Thailand will work to further improve cooperation with distributors and perform marketing activities rooted in the unique culture of the country. The goal is to expand products that meet local needs and engage in strong promotional activities. The new company will work closely with Casio Singapore, which oversees Casio sites in ASEAN. Casio is aiming for sales in Thailand of 5 billion yen and sales throughout ASEAN of 30 billion yen by fiscal 2016.
