Casio Integrates All Central and South American Sales Functions
into Casio Brasil
Restructuring the Sales Structure to Accelerate Business Expansion
TOKYO, September 30, 2011— To further expand its business in Central and South America, Casio Computer Co., Ltd., is integrating Casio Latin America Inc. (Miami, Florida, US), which has thus far been overseeing sales activities for the countries of Central and South America, into Casio Brasil Comercio De Produtos Eletronicos Ltda. (Casio Brasil), its Brazilian sales operation. Sales will begin on October 1 under the new structure, built around Casio Brasil as the base for sales and marketing in this region.
Seeing the Central and South American region as a growth market, Casio established Casio Latin America in 2006 to integrate its operations in that region. Since then, Casio has developed its sales structure by launching sales subsidiaries under Casio Latin America in the form of Casio Mexico Marketing, S. de R. L. de C.V. in 2008 and Casio Brasil in 2009.
Now the company is shifting the functions of Casio Latin America, which had been the general base of operations in the region, to Casio Brasil, which is located in the center of the region’s market and offers easy access to the other countries there. This move aims to achieve broader penetration of Casio products using a new system of operations that covers all of Central and South America, including Brazil.
Going forward, Casio will strive to further expand its business in Central and South America while cooperating with dealers in the region and engaging in more vigorous sales and marketing activities.
