TOKYO, January 6, 2011 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd., today announced the launch of Imaging Square, an online service that enables users to transform their prized photos into compelling pieces of artwork. The new service will go live in Japan on January 11, 2011, and then in the United States in February 2011.

In 2010, Casio released a digital camera with high dynamic range (HDR) technology that combines several shots with differing exposures at the press of the shutter button to create artistic HDR photographs right on the camera. With Casio's HDR technology, users can enjoy their photos in a whole new way by creating new world of Digital Photo Art that is neither photo nor painting, but more.

Casio's new Imaging Square online service will be the one-stop shop for freedom of expression in Digital Photo Art—and it's not only for users of Casio digital cameras, but for everybody. Anyone can use the online features of Imaging Square to produce creative works of digital art in a snap: just upload a digital photo taken from a digital camera, cellular phone or other device. Imaging Square offers users new way to enjoy photos; they can effortlessly create digital photo art from a photo, just for fun or to send to a friend as a greeting card. Initially, Casio will offer the following services at Imaging Square, led by its powerful photo processing features.
