Exhibition at Eco-Products 2013

Casio was an exhibitor at one of Japan's largest environmental exhibitions, "Eco-Products 2013", held from December 12 to 14 at Tokyo Big Sight.

This marks the 15th year that the “Eco-Products” exhibition has been held, and Casio has exhibited products(delete) at every event since the exhibition was first held in 1999. Over the 3 days, some 170,000 visitors from a wide range of backgrounds flocked to the event, including everyone from corporate and local government representatives through to ordinary consumers and even study tours by primary, middle and high schools.

Based on the “Casio Environmental Vision 2050” established in April 2012, Casio is putting in place its own initiatives aimed at achieving the sustainable use and co-existence of the Earth‘s assets, namely “Energy”, “Resources” and “Nature” by the year 2050.

This year’s theme for Casio was “Technology and Ecology in Harmony”. On show were the some of the “Casio Green Star” products, which meet the Casio resource- and energy-saving standards that were established with the aim of achieving coexistence with nature by reducing the environmental impact of Casio products. Other exhibits included collaborative products with volunteer groups engaged in environmental education campaigns as well as information about initiatives designed around the concept of protecting ecosystems and the natural environment.

The main stage in the exhibit featured a large tree and highlighted the importance of recycling and saving resources under the title “Ecology we protect and ecology we build”. It introduced the many environmental campaigns that Casio is actively involved in to achieve those ideals, such as developing products that provide clean energy. Large numbers of visitors stopped by Casio to check it out over the 3 days of the exhibition.

Casio will continue to promote positive environmental initiatives through its future products.
